Abstract
This Bank is established in order to support and develop directly or indirectly trade between Ghana and other countries, and build Ghana's capacity and competitiveness in the international market-place. Article 3 lays out functions of the Bank to achieve its objectives. The Bank is independent in the performance of its functions and is not subject to the regulatory and supervisory control of the Bank of Ghana or to the Banking Act, 2004 (Act 673). The Act provides on the governing body of the Bank, duties and responsibilities of the Board, audit committee, head office and branches, conduct of financial transactions and activities, reserve fund, and liquidation of the Bank. The Act consists of 39 Articles.
