The policy outlines the sector’s strategy under the theme “Resetting the Economy for the Ghana We Want,” aligning with the National Medium-Term Development Policy Framework and the Sustainable Development Goals on poverty, hunger, and economic growth. The document defines the Ministry of Food and Agriculture’s core functions and sets measurable targets for agricultural Gross Domestic Product growth, food self-sufficiency, crop yields, fertilizer use, extension coverage, exports, and poultry production, supported by a 2025 budget. It organizes activities into four programmes—Management and Administration; Crops and Livestock Development; Agribusiness Development; and Sustainable Land and Environment—and advances key initiatives under the Agriculture for Economic Transformation Agenda, especially the “Feed Ghana” programme.
