Abstract
This Act empowers the President to declare, in the public interest, any area of state or stool land to be selected land for purposes of this Act and to grant land in a selected area, on such terms and conditions as he or she may think fit, to persons indicated in this Act.
The persons to whom title in land may be assigned include: persons deprived of the use of their land by reason of a natural catastrophe or forced to abandon the land by reason of specified legal action; persons that wish to settle in a land reclamation area or a planned irrigation area; and persons who wish to carry out husbandry in an area planned for that purpose.
For each selected area a plan shall be prepared. Entries of land shall be set out in the Plan.
