Abstract
This Act provides rules for the use of rivers and related resources.
The President may define the extent of a river to which this Act applies and may add rivers to the list defined in the Schedule to this Act. Dredging in rivers or abstraction or diversion of water from a river requires a licence from the Minister. The Act sets out regulation-making powers of the President and defines offences.
