Standard for Fortified Wheat Flour.

This Gambian Standard applies to fortified wheat flour intended for human consumption, prepackaged and ready for sale to the consumer or destined for use in other food products. The Standard defines wheat flour; fortification process; diluent; fortificant; fortified wheat flour; premix of fortificants and diluents. The Standard specifies essential composition and quality factors; optional ingredients; enzymes, treatment agents and other additives; heavy metals and other contaminants; pesticide residues; maximum limits of mycotoxins; good manufacturing practice and hygiene procedures; packaging and labelling requirements.
