Abstract
These Regulations, made in exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister responsible for finance by section 117 of the State-Owned Enterprises Act, 2023, apply to commercial State-Owned Enterprises listed in the attachment. The Regulations cover the following matters: extraordinary meetings of the State-Owned Enterprises Commission; utilisation of the funds of the Commission; monitoring performance of State-Owned Enterprises; designation of a public entity as a Commercial State-Owned Enterprise; functions of the executive secretary; public service obligations, including: preventing or managing national emergencies; board members and related functions, including financial reporting and controls; strategies and policies of State-Owned Enterprises; financial matters to be included in the business plan; funds of the State-Owned Enterprises; investments.
