The accused was arrested while drying bushmeat for sale. He stated that he used to buy bushmeat for sale but that he stopped when he learned that it was illegal. He stated that he bought the meat in local markets and had not link with the hunters. But he was condemned because he was caught in the act of selling hunting meat.

The Guinean State joined a civil action to the proceedings in order to cover the expenses related to the Conakry mission stays, and lawyer's fees.
