Abstract
This general agreement between Greece and North Macedonia contains provisions on cooperation between the countries. The Parties agree that their strategic cooperation shall extend to all sectors, such as agriculture, civil protection, defence, economy, energy, environment, industry, infrastructure, investments, political relations, tourism, trade, trans-border cooperation and transport. This strategic cooperation shall apply not only to the sectors included in this Agreement but also to those that in the future may be deemed beneficial to both countries and indispensable. All these sectors should be incorporated into a comprehensive Action Plan during the course of the development of bilateral relations. The Parties shall take measures to ensure the protection of the environment and the preservation of the natural habitat in the trans-border waters and the surrounding space and shall cooperate in seeking to reduce and eliminate all forms of pollution. The Parties shall strive to develop and harmonize strategies and programmes for regional and international cooperation for the protection of the environment.
