The landfill installation space is sufficiently distant from the protected by Ramsar treaty "Koronia" lake and generally the lakes of the wider region. The ICM thoroughly examined this proximity, in view of the special characteristics of lakes Koronia and Volvi and excluded the potential adverse effects of the project.
