Abstract
A frame law setting forth the basis for the improvement of the enterprising environment in Greece. It provides for a wide range of issues connected thereto, among others, the creation of new a corporate form, the private capital company ( ) (article 43) and provisions regarding the providers of services of immovable property (articles 199-201).
The adoption of measures with emphasized developmental character, particularly in those sectors where traditionally Greece has comparative advantage, such as tourism, shipping and the fishery sectors, represent a priority for the confrontation of the ongoing economic crisis and the progressive rekindling of economy. In this framework, the fifth part of the law (articles 205-227) includes provisions that regulate matters of marine tourism, such as the complete lifting of cabotage rights, by suppressing the restrictions of previous legislative arrangements, which aim at attracting in Greece vessels flying a foreigner flag as well as the improvement of the institutional frame for contacting out public services in the marine internal transports. Also, provisions are included on the improvement of harbour infrastructures and legislation on port works as well as matters on fishery policy. In particular, with article 205, the pluriennal programme for the collection, management and use of data in the fisheries sector and the keeping of related databases (as prescribed by Council Regulation (EC) No. 199/2008) shall fall under the competence of the Fisheries Research Institute (F.R.I) in collaboration with the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (H.C.M.R . . . ). Further rules dealing with data collection concerning the fisheries sector in the framework of the Common Fisheries Policy shall be set forth by Ministerial or Presidential Decrees.

The Law shall enter into force as from the day of its publication on the Official Gazette except from certain provisions of Part III which shall enter into force six months after the publication on the Official gazette. Also article 232 shall enter into force on 1.7.2012.
