Abstract
This Law implements the provisions made under Council Directive No. 2009/119/EC regarding the imposition of an obligation on Member States to maintain minimum stocks of crude oil and/or petroleum products. The rules laid down in the Law aim at ensuring a high level of security of oil supply in the national territory through reliable and transparent mechanisms based on solidarity amongst EU Member States, maintaining minimum stocks of crude oil and/or petroleum products and putting in place the necessary procedural means to deal with a serious shortage. Article 13 of the law lays down specific rules for taking biofuels and additives into account when calculating stockholding obligations and stock levels.
