Abstract
This Law, consisting of 68 articles, concerns: the development and expansion of private insurance against natural disaster; the strengthening of the framework for state aid to businesses and agricultural holdings; the strengthening of the competent state aid services and administrative flexibility, aimed at improving the services provided in relation to the relief of those affected by natural disasters. In order to achieve its goals, the Law establishes the Observatory of Private Insurance against Natural Disasters; provides for a partial amendment of the existing state aid framework Law no. 4797 of 2021 concerning granting of aid to businesses and agricultural holdings with financial losses in areas affected by natural disasters; grants payment procedures to individuals affected by natural disasters; establishes the General Secretariat of Rehabilitation of Natural Disasters and State Aid and other related institutions and agencies. Matters covered by this Law include: National Strategy for private insurance against natural disasters; business insurance against natural disasters; State aid to business and agricultural farming; subsidies for non-occupational farmers; procedures in case of damage to crops; housing assistance for the restoration of damages caused by natural disasters in residential buildings; specific insurance measures against forest fire, flood and earthquake; strengthening services in case of natural disasters.
