Law no. 5178 of 2025. Measures for balanced gender representation in management positions of listed companies, unlisted public limited companies and public enterprises - Incorporation of Directive (EU) 2022/2381 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 November 2022 - Arrangements for the strengthening of pilot programmes for the enhancement of social cohesion - Demographic Development Program and other provisions.

This Law provides for implementing the principle of gender equality and for achieving a more balanced representation of women on the Board of Directors of listed companies, public limited companies and public enterprises and organisations. The Law also provides for the incorporation of Directive (EU) 2022/2381 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 November 2022 on gender balance in management positions of listed companies and related measures. The Law focuses on the following matters: Suitability policy for members of the Board of Directors; gender balance on the Board of Directors; criteria and procedure for selecting members of the Board of Directors for balanced gender representation; submission of a special report on gender balance; balanced gender representation in management positions of listed companies for participation in public contracts; offences; promotion of gender balance in listed companies; establishment of a Gender Equality Fund. Furthermore, the Law concerns the implementation of the pilot programme for subsidising accessibility interventions for people with disabilities.
