Abstract
On the basis of equality and mutual benefit, the two Parties will carry out the cooperation in the fields of ship and maritime technologies according to their respective competence and their respective national laws and regulations and, where applicable, international treaties and conventions to which the governments of the two countries are parties. The Parties will promote the medium and long-term cooperation in the following areas: i) maritime safety and security; ii) prevention of pollution from ships; iii) port development and facilitation of port services; iv) maritime technical exchange; v) maritime education and maritime employment.

Entry into force notes
This MoU shall enter into force on the date of the receipt of the last written notification by which the Parties notify each other about the completion of the relevant internal procedures for the entry into force of this MoU and shall remain valid for a period of five years. If neither one nor the other country gives notice to terminate this MoU, it will be extended automatically for successive periods of five years thereafter.
