This Ministerial Decision provides for regulating the distribution of small quantities of poultry meat from producers with an annual production that does not exceed 10,000 units. The Decision specifies measures and requirements for health inspection and slaughtering of poultry and rabbits that small poultry farmers have to comply with. Further measures covered by this Decision include: control and medical inspection of slaughtered animals; issuance of an operating licence for slaughtering and disposal of poultry and rabbits; specific requirements of premises and poultry farms; protection system of carcasses against unwanted insects, rodents, birds; hygiene conditions for the premises, materials, tools and personnel; use of potable water for livestock production; use of detergent and disinfectants approved by the competent authorities.
