Ministerial Decree No. 646229 regulating matters concerning the use of private forests and forest areas.

With this Decree, private forests and forest areas which were legally cleared for agricultural purposes within the entry into force of the Constitution (11.06.1975) and since then are cultivated for such purposes, are still defined as "forestal areas". The re-destination of use of such areas may be permitted in compliance with Chapter VI, Act No. 998/1979, as amended by Act No. 1734/1987.
