Ministerial Joint Decree No. 340668 establishing additional measures for the implementation of Regulation (EC) 183/2005 and 141/2007 laying down requirements for animal feed hygiene.

Aim of the present Decree is to establish additional measures for the implementation of the provisions of Regulation (EC) 183/2005 laying down requirements for feed hygiene and Regulation (EC) 141/2007 concerning a requirement for approval, in accordance with Regulation 183/2005, for feed business establishments manufacturing or placing on the market feed additives of the category coccidiostats and histomonostats . The competent authority for the implementation of the Regulations at the national level shall be the Department of animal production of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food while at a regional level shall be the Departments of rural development of the prefectures and the laboratories for the control of animal feeds of the same Ministry. Feed business operators shall notify the appropriate competent authority of any establishments under their control, active in any of the stages of production, processing, storage, transport or distribution of feed, in the form required by the competent authority with a view to registration; The Decree establishes the requirements and procedures for enrolling the Register.
