Abstract
Aim of this Decree is the transposition into the national legislation and implementation of the provisions of Directive 2002/45/EC relating to restrictions on the marketing and use of certain dangerous substances and preparations, more specifically, short-chain chlorinated paraffins. The afore-mentioned Directive provides for amending Council Directive 76/769/EEC, which has been implemented and incorporated into the Greek legislative frame with Presidential Order No. 445/83. Under this light, in Annex I to Presidential Order No. 445 shall be added the provision establishing that short-chain chlorinated paraffins may not be placed on the market for use as substances or as constituents of other substances or preparations in concentrations higher than 1 percent in metalworking or for fat liquoring of leather.
