Abstract
Pursuant to Council Directive 2001/114/EC relating to certain partly or wholly dehydrated preserved milk for human consumption, a new article (80a) has been introduced to the Food Code reflecting the principles of the afore-mentioned Directive. The provisions of this article shall apply to milk products as defined in Annex I. Addition of vitamins is allowed subject to the conditions set out in article 5. Packaging and labelling requirements for such products are also defined in Annex I. Particular designations for certain products listed in Annex I are defined in Annex II to the article. Placing on the market of products not complying with the provisions of this Decree, shall be prohibited as from 17 July 2003. However, sales of products not complying with the provisions of this Decree but have been labelled before July 2004 may continue until the supply lasts, according with Presidential Order No. 518/83.
