Ministerial Joint Decree No. 726/88 approving a Decision by the Supreme Council of Chemistry regarding an amendment of article 23 to the Food Code.

With this Decree, in article 23 concerning closed metal containers for foodstuffs (tins), paragraph 10 is added as follows: "the lateral seams of metal containers for foodstuffs may be weld together by using the "Soudronic welding process". The side junctures must be overlaid with an antioxidant varnish which does not merge with the foodstuff contained in the container.".
