Abstract
In order to safely export kiwi fruit (Actinidia chinensis) from Hellenic Rebublic to China, the Ministry of Rural Development and Food of the Hellenic Republic (MRDF) and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) of the People’s Republic of China, on the basis of pest risk assessment have agreed that the kiwi fruit for export to China shall comply with the relevant phytosanitary laws and regulations of China and meet the phytosanitary requirements as stipulated in this Protocol. Under the direction of the MRDF, effective monitoring, precaution and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) measures shall be taken to avoid or minimize the occurrence and damage of the quarantine pests concerned by China in the kiwi orchards and packinghouses.

Entry into force notes
This Protocol shall enter into force upon receipt of the last written notification informing the other Party about the completion of the relevant internal procedures and shall remain valid for a period of two years. If neither MRDF nor AQSIQ gives notice to amend or terminate this Protocol, it will be extended automatically for an additional one year, and so forth.
