Abstract
This Decree-Law, consisting of 9 Chapters, establishes the basic norms for protection, promotion and exploitation of wildlife. It specifies requirements to be met in order to perform hunting activity and other activities related to wildlife, in particular: endangered animal species protection, authorized wild animals to be caught, hunting areas, authorized methods and seasons, etc. It also regulates hunting licence requirements, controls to be carried out by the competent authority and sanctions to be paid by offenders for illegal activity.
