Abstract
This Decree concretises the government's policy on renewable energies. In order to fulfil the Sustainable Development Goal 7 set for 2030 and to tackle the negative repercussions of fossil fuels, especially those derived from oil, the government has adopted a policy that promotes and encourages the use of energy generated by natural resources that are naturally replenished, renewable energies. Hydroelectric power, for example, generated by river water; Wind energy (from the winds); Solar energy (from the sun); Biogas energy (gas from organic material) and Geothermal energy (which comes from the earth's heat). The government department responsible for energy is the structure in charge of implementing the government's policy on renewable energies and must prioritise projects to supply electricity from renewable energy sources in accordance with the dynamics of the energy mix.
