Decree No. 12/2000 instituting the National Park Tarrafes do Rio de Cacheu.

This Decree, composed of 23 articles and 2 Annexes, institutes the National Park Tarrafes do Rio de Cacheu, with the aim of protecting the natural resources and the ecosystem, as well as promoting the sustainable development of local communities. The decree defines the borders of the protected area and rules on the zoning system established for the Park. Moreover, it regulates the admitted and forbidden activities and the licensing procedures. Finally, the Decree rules on the Park’s administration procedures and entitled bodies. The Annexes provide maps of the protected area.
