Abstract
This Decree creates the Food Security Steering Committee (CPSA), responsible for monitoring the activities of collection, processing, analysis and dissemination of information on food security and promoting all the actions it deems pertinent and that are consistent with the mission assigned to it. Due to the progressive decline in productivity that had been registered in the main production lines, in 1997, the Government approved the Charter of Agricultural Development Policy, in which four priority objectives were established related to food security. To guarantee food security, one of the Government's priorities is that specific conditions need to be created.
