Decree No. 14/2011 creating the National Park of Cantanhez.

This Decree, consisting of 6 Chapters, creates the National Park of Cantanhez with the aim of protecting the natural resources and the ecosystem as well as promoting the sustainable development of local communities. The National Park aims at guaranteeing the preservation, conservation and defense of rainy forests and their biological diversity, endangered animal and plant species, as well as the promotion of eco-tourism and the valorization of economic activities in order to improve the life conditions of local populations. Finally, the Decree rules on the Park’s administration procedures and entitled bodies.
