Decree No. 6/2018 approving the General Regulation of the Land Law.

This Decree approves the General Regulation of the Land Law, approved by Law No. 5/98 of 28 April. The Regulation, consisting of 105 articles divided into eleven Chapters and two Annexes, establishes the measures for the application of Law No. 5/98, in particular with regard to customary land use, rural and surface concession, delimitation of local communities' lands, land commissions, land registration, grazing land and land institutions, responsible for land management. It establishes that are subject to specific regulation the following regimes: use and enjoyment of urban land, exploitation of geological, forestry and wildlife resources, protected areas, territorial planning, pastoralism, the insular and coastal zones and the tourist zone regime. In addition, it establishes land demarcation and registration, land taxation regime, including the concession fee and the transfer fee of concession titles, the land tax, the resolution of conflicts, etc.
