Joint Order approving the Statute on Fortification, Supplementation, and Addition of Foods with Vitamin A, Iron, and Folic Acid.

This Joint Order regulates the fortification, supplementation, or addition of vitamins such as vitamin A and minerals, namely iron and folic acid, to flour and edible oil, as well as the use of iodine in salt. Its provisions apply to all individuals and legal entities engaged in commercial and industrial activities unrelated to edible oils, flour, and salt throughout the national territory. These fortified foods may be either from local or imported origin.
