Abstract
This Resolution implements the Convention for Co-operation in the Protection and Development of the Marine and Coastal Environment of the West and Central African Region. The Convention, signed in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) on 23 March 1981, establishes the legal framework for the mutual cooperation against marine pollution, in order to guarantee a balanced management of fishery resources. It deals with maritime area, coastal zones and related internal waters under the jurisdiction of the States of Western and Central Africa, from Mauritania to Namibia (included).
