Abstract
This Act establishes the Guyana Rice Producers Association as a body corporate. The Council shall subdivide Guyana into districts and create district associations (sect. 7).The 11 sections of the Act are entitled as follows: Short title (sect. 1); Interpretation (sect. 2); Establishment of the Association (sect. 3); Functions of the Association (sect. 4); Management of affairs of Association vested in Council (sect. 5); Constitution and powers of the Executive Committee (sect. 6); Constitution of District Associations (sect. 7); Functions of the Committee (sect. 8); Power to make regulations (sect. 9); Finance and accounts (sect. 10); Transitional provisions (sect. 11).
