Mining (Special Mining Permit) Regulations 2023 (No. 6 of 2023).

These Regulations provide rules for fees for the application, grant and renewal of special mining permits; restrictions on the grant of special mining permits; period of validity and renewal of special mining permits; rights and obligations of the special mining permit holders; lodgment of the environmental bond; cancellation of the special mining permit; and saving of certain rights on the cancellation of a special mining permit. These Regulations shall apply only for the purposes of and related to applications received on or before the 31 January 2018, from persons named in Schedule 1 for the issuance of mining permits over the tracts of State lands set out in Schedule 1, and to the extent only as set out in these Regulations. Every special mining permit granted under these Regulations shall be for an area of not less than 150 acres nor more than 1200 acres.
