Abstract
These By-Laws lay down procedures and principles and prohibited actions for the markets in New Amsterdam. The New Amsterdam Market shall be under the control and supervision of the Clerk of Markets of the Council. Selling fresh meat in the market shall be subject to the permission of the Meat and Food Inspector or the Clerk of Markets after approved by the Meat and Food Inspector as fit for human consumption. Moreover, the Meat and Food Inspector or the Clerk of Markets may at any time inspect and examine the market or equipment in contact with any fresh meat, game, fish, fruit, vegetables or other articles intended for human consumption in terms of sanitary requirements.
