Abstract
These Regulations lay down rules to provide a framework for the administration and management of zoos, and to establish and define procedures for the operation of licensed zoos. Furthermore, Regulation 4 underlines that the zoos shall promote public education and awareness in relation to biodiversity conservation and take conservation measures, including training in relevant conservation skills; exchange of information relating to species conservation; research for the protection of species and their ecosystems; and captive breeding, repopulation or reintroduction of species into the wild. The Guyana Wildlife Conservation and Management Commission shall be responsible for the administration of these Regulations.
