Decision on the registration of catching fishing vessels engaged in tuna seiner fishing in the ICCAT Record of BFT Catching Vessels in 2025.

This Decision determines the following: a list of vessels that meet the criteria for entry into the ICCAT Record of BFT Catching Vessels and are authorized to carry out commercial fishing at sea with purse seiners; individual tuna seiner catch quotas per each authorized national vessel for the year 2025. The list of vessels with related assigned catch quotas is given in point II of this text. Vessels under serial numbers 1 and 2 from point II of this Decision are authorized for bluefin tuna fishing with purse seiners in the Mediterranean Sea, outside the Adriatic Sea, within the framework of the Joint Fishing Operation, in the period from May 26, 2025 to July 1, 2025, i.e. until the quota is used up, whichever occurs first, and they will be issued permits for commercial bluefin tuna fishing for the specified period. Vessel under serial number 3 from point II of this Decision is authorized for bluefin tuna fishing with purse seiners in the Adriatic Sea, outside the Joint Fishing Activity, in the period from 26 May 2025 until 15 July 2025, i.e. until the quota is used up, whichever occurs first, and it will be issued with an authorization for commercial bluefin tuna fishing for the specified period.
