Abstract
This Law regulates the organization, arrangement, keeping and storage of land registers, determines the subject and types of registration and the conduct of land registry procedures. Land registers are based on the data of the cadastral operator or cadastral survey. Land registers shall be kept on the legal status of real estate in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, relevant for legal transactions, unless otherwise specified for certain lands. Real rights on lands shall be entered in the land books, as well as other rights for which this is determined by special laws. When entry in the land register is a presumption of acquisition, change, restriction and termination of land rights, it shall be determined by a special law. The Republic of Croatia shall be objectively liable for damage caused by errors in the keeping of land registers.
