Abstract
This Law amends certain provisions part of the Law on genetically modified organisms (Official Gazette 70/2005, 137/2009, 28/2013 and 47/2014).
Changes are related to the general terms and aims (article 1); introduction of new European Union Directives and references (in addition to the provisions of the article 1a: Directive (EU) 2015/412 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 March 2015 amending Directive 2001/18/EC as regards the possibility for the Member States to restrict or prohibit the cultivation of genetically modified organisms; and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 120/2014 of 7 February 2014 amending Regulation (EC) No 1981/2006 on detailed rules for the implementation of Article 32 of Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and the Council as regards the Community reference laboratory for genetically modified organisms); international transport and transit of GMOs (article 7); several issues on laboratories for testing, control and monitoring of GMOs (article 10); inspection provisions (article 65); penalty provisions (articles 67 and 68).
