Abstract
This Law amends certain provisions part of the Law on transboundary traffic and trade in wild species (originally published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia 94/2013).
Changes are related to the added reference (in article 2) of the Council Regulation (EC) No 338/97 of 9 December 1996 on the protection of species of wild fauna and flora by regulating trade therein. In article 3 new competent state institutions are indicated; in article 4, items 5 and 13, the words: "in cooperation with the Institute" shall be deleted; the title above article 5 is amended to read: "Tasks of the Scientific Body”, including several amendments to the article (see article 4 of this text).
Also in the entire text the words “based on the expert opinion of the Institute" are deleted. In article 34, paragraph 2, the word "Ministry" is replaced by words "State Inspectorate".

Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, except for the provisions of article 8 of this text that shall start applying form 1 April 2019.
