Programme of activities in the implementation of special fire protection measures of interest to the Republic of Croatia in 2021.

This Programme, based on the provisions of the Croatian Law on firefighting, provides for programmed action scheme for the implementation of special fire protection measures of interest to the Republic of Croatia for the year 2021, which is represented by a set of activities with the aim of effective preventive and operative (curative) action for the reduction of the number of open fires, reduction of damage and of the number of human victims, burned areas, protection of critical infrastructure. The goal will be achieved by appropriate undertaking of a wide range of preventive measures (forestry, agronomic, organizational, promotional, inspection) to prevent fires (and thus reduce the number of fires) and development of appropriate elements (in manpower, equipment) of firefighting operational forces. Joint action and the implementation of preventive and operational measures will ultimately reduce the number of fires and prevent and reduce disturbance of biological and landscape diversity and shall support the sustainable development of ecosystems.
