Regulation on conditions and measures for protection against ionizing radiation for performing activities with sources of ionizing radiation.

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Croatian Law on radiological and nuclear safety, prescribes the conditions and measures of protection against ionizing radiation when performing activities with sources of ionizing radiation. This text also determines the following: conditions that must be met by the space, devices and facilities in which sources of ionizing radiation are located or where activities with ionizing radiation sources are performed; methods of surveillance in the field of inspection and special rules for protection against ionizing radiation or prevention of the spread of radioactive contamination; conditions for design, construction, use and decommissioning of buildings in which ionizing radiation sources are located or activities with ionizing radiation sources are performed; obligatory content of registers that the holders of approvals, users and the State Institute for Radiological and Nuclear Safety are obliged to keep, their content, manner of keeping and retention periods and manner and deadlines of related reporting; method, scope and deadlines for testing ionizing radiation sources and working conditions, measuring prescribed parameters, checking the correctness of personal protective equipment, checking the correctness of measuring instruments, checking radioactive contamination of persons, objects, environment, premises and air in premises where activities with sources of ionizing radiation or radioactive sources are performed or located, including mandatory content of report on inspections, checks and measurements, as well as the frequency, deadlines and reporting procedures; concentration limits of activity of radionuclides below which an individual radionuclide is excluded from supervision.
