Abstract
This Regulation regulates the content of the plan of measures to eliminate the uncontrolled spread of genetically modified organisms into the environment and the manner of its implementation.
Emergency response plan shall include: a) method of controlling GMOs in case of an uncontrolled spread in the environment, especially the methods and procedures for monitoring the GMOs; b) assessment of possible consequences and threats to the biodiversity, the environment and human health; c) the necessary measures, in particular plans for the protection of biodiversity, environment and human health in the event of adverse effects; d) measures needed to prevent further spread, or methods for the isolation of areas affected by the expansion; e) measures necessary to eliminate GMOs, in particular, methods for decontamination of affected areas (such as the extermination of GMOs); f) measures necessary for the rehabilitation of the environment that could be exposed to the uncontrolled spread of GMOs, such as methods for disposal or recovery of plants, animals, soil, etc. exposed during or after the release of GMOs.
The costs of implementing the plan with measures shall be paid by the applicant.
