Abstract
This Regulation regulates the content and scope of risk assessment of deliberate release of genetically modified organisms into the environment, the methodology for making risk assessments, and conditions that must be met by the legal person carrying out a risk assessment.
Risk assessment is a scientific expert analysis which should identify, analyze and evaluate potential adverse effects of certain GMOs on biodiversity and/or human health, the estimated risk of release into the environment in accordance with assessment which determines the necessary control measures and risk management in accordance with the terms of this Regulation.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
