Abstract
This Regulation prescribes: the criteria for the classification of the contained use of genetically modified organisms; level of risk and the objectives, content, scope and methodology for assessing risks to human health; the environmental and/or biological diversity during the contained use of genetically modified organisms.
Contained use of GMOs shall be classified into one of four levels of risk prescribed by the Law on Genetically Modified Organisms.
The objective of risk assessment is to identify and evaluate potential adverse effects of exposure to GMOs, direct or indirect, immediate or deferred, combined, cumulative or long-term, on the human health, the environment, biodiversity also.
Full Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
