Regulation on fishing in protected areas, special habitats and areas with special fishing regulations.

This publication provides and prescribes the following: regulation of fishing in the parts of sea that are protected in the category of national park; regulation of fishing in special ichthyological reserves and special sea reserves; regulation of fishing in the parts of sea that are protected in the category of nature park; regulation of commercial and non-commercial fishing in special habitats; regulation of fishing sea areas with special fishing rules and regulation of commercial and non-commercial fishing in those waters. This text closely determines relevant fishing rules (including maximum allowable catch, fishing gear/method/tool, season and other) for each recognized fishing zone, areas and special sea-marine reserves as mentioned above. Small scale coastal fishing is also closely regulated in all these areas. These rules are established also in order to protect fish species, marine biodiversity and natural reserves present in indicated Croatian sea waters.
