Regulation on the implementation of measure I.9 Temporary cessation of fishing activities with purse seiner - sardine nets for January/February 2024.

This Regulation prescribes the implementation of support within measure I.9 "Temporary cessation of fishing activities" within Priority 1 of the European Union "Encouragement of sustainable fisheries and restoration and conservation of biological resources" as part of the implementation of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Program of the Republic of Croatia for the program period 2021-2027, and in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2021/1139 of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund and amending Regulation (EU) 2017/1004.
The subject of the support is the compensation to the fishing vessel privilege holders and the crew members of the fishing vessel for which the privilege was issued, and includes one-time non-refundable funds for temporary suspension in accordance with the Recommendation of the General Commission for Mediterranean Fisheries. Temporary suspension in the sense of this text is a temporary suspension in the period from January 17, 2024 at 00:00 to February 15, 2024 at 24:00 for a duration of 30 days in the area of the entire fishing sea of the Republic of Croatia.
