Abstract
This Regulation, in order to implement all necessary measures to protect the animal health from infectious diseases and other prescribed measures aimed to detect and prevent various specific infectious animal diseases, provides for mandatory labelling standards (ear tag) that will be applied on: cattle (older than two months) and all cattle, regardless of age, when placing on the internal market or for export purposes; sheep and goats and their offspring older than two months, before being placed on the internal market or for export and shipment to graze outside the epizootic areas; pigs older than two months, and all pigs, regardless of age, to be placed on the internal market or for export purposes; horses in all circumstances.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
