Abstract
This Regulation provides for the marketing standards for fruit and vegetables, how to implement control and reporting of compliance of fruit and vegetable market with the prescribed standards, the manner and procedure for conducting inspections and the measures and actions of inspectors.
General and specific marketing standards for fruit and vegetables: a) shall be determined by taking particular account of: specifics of a particular product; the need to ensure conditions for the smooth sale of these products on the market; the interest of consumers to obtain adequate and clear information about fruits and vegetables, including information on country of origin, class and, where appropriate, the variety of products; the recommendations of the UN/ECE for fruit and vegetables; b) are specifically related to quality, grading, weight, sizing, packaging, wrapping, storage, transport, presentation, marketing, origin and marking.
The provisions of this Regulation shall apply to fruits and vegetables in Annex I, which is an integral part of this Regulation.

This Regulation enters into force on 1 June 2011.
Notes
On the effective date of this Regulation, the provisions of the Regulation on the quality of fruit (Official Gazette 114/08, 137/08) will be no longer in force.
