Abstract
This Regulation provides minimum requirements for the protection of laying hens.
This Regulation shall not apply to: a) facilities with less than 350 laying hens; b) facilities for the brood stock breeding hens.
Veterinary inspections must draw up an annual program of inspections of a statistically representative sample of farms.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, except for the provisions of article 9 that will enter into force on the day of Croatian entrance into the European Union.
