Abstract
This Regulation provides for a Croatian horse breeding programme.
The programme is a set of selection procedures that should implement the genetic improvement of breeds of horses available in Croatia. The program determines the principles and procedures necessary for a sustainable horse breeding sector and its related activities.
Genetic improvement of horses takes place in warm-blooded, cold-blooded and pony breeds. Breeding target for individual breeds is determined by the Croatian Livestock Selection Center and registered breeder associations that operate in accordance with this breeding program.
