Abstract
This Regulation here determines the type of substances that shall be considered as agricultural soil contaminants.
This text further defines their maximum levels in soil, preventive soil contamination control measures, with the aim of protecting the soil from pollution and degradation and maintaining it in a condition that makes it a favorable habitat for the production healthy food, also for the purpose of protection of human health, wildlife, and protection of nature and of environment in general. This kind of protection of land from pollution shall be implemented by prohibiting, preventing and limiting the introduction of pollutants into the soil, as well as by taking other specific measures for its conservation. Sources of pollution object of this text are as follows: industrial production and services, industrial waste, municipal waste, oil industry, mining, power plants, warehouses, military activity, transport, transport spills, agricultural activity, incident situations and others. The list containing official maximum levels of organic pollutants in soil is in article 5.
