Regulation on protection and preservation of the "Northern Velebit" National Park.

This Regulation here determines the necessary measures of protection, preservation, improvement and use and determines the management zones of the "Northern Velebit" National Park (Sjeverni Velebit). Employees of the Public Institution "Northern Velebit National Park" (hereinafter: the Institution), owners and holders of rights to real estate in the National Park and members of their families, natural and legal persons who perform permitted activities in the National Park, visitors and other users of the National Park, are all obliged to comply with the provisions of this text. For the purpose of preserving natural values and the necessary level of management and methods of use, the area of the National Park is divided into different management zones and subzones as listed in article 5. In the National Park, the Strict Protection Zone (I) includes areas of natural ecosystems in which the characteristics and state of preservation of habitats have not been changed by human influence, and for their preservation it is not necessary to implement active management measures. Water protection and use is regulated in article 10. For forest protection issues see article 11. Hunting is subject regulated in articles 12 and 13. Grassland conservation and agriculture is defined in articles 14, 15 and 16.
